034Motorsport’s engineers invested significant effort in developing a comprehensive performance intake solution for Audi/Volkswagen EA888 1.8T/2.0T Gen 3 engines, which provides noticeable gains in horsepower and torque over the factory airbox. Throughout the development process, multiple designs were modeled, prototyped, and tested, to ensure that the P34 Air Intake System delivers measurable performance benefits and excellent fitment.

OPTIMIZING AIRFLOW

034Motorsport engineers started by identifying the shortcomings of the factory intake system to determine which components restricted airflow to the turbocharger inlet. While the factory lower airbox and fresh air duct to the core support were more than sufficient for increased power levels, the factory air filter, upper airbox, and turbo inlet tube were deemed too restrictive, even with the factory turbocharger034Motorsport's mechanical engineers scanned the factory engine bay and modeled a one-piece unit to replace the factory intake tube and upper airbox. By eliminating the multiple couplers, transitions, and jagged features in the factory upper airbox and intake tube, 034Motorsport's engineering team was able to drastically reduce turbulence in the intake tract, and virtually eliminate pressure drop in the intake system before the turbo inlet.

Multiple iterations were prototyped in plastic using 034Motorsport's in-house FDM 3D printer and thoroughly tested. Ultimately, the best-performing design was a fully-enclosed unit featuring a large-diameter one-piece intake tube with smooth transitions all the way back to the factory turbo inlet.

TRUE COLD AIR INTAKE

To ensure that the P34 Air Intake System draws in cool, dense air, 034Motorsport engineers opted for an enclosed design to prevent hot air from the engine bay entering the intake tract. By bolting to the factory lower airbox, this approach allows the enclosed high-flow panel filter to breathe fresh, cold air from the factory inlet duct before the radiator.

PERFORMANCE AIR FILTER
he 034Motorsport P34 Air Intake System houses a high-flow panel filter with double-layer pleated cotton filtration medium. This air filter design offers increased flow and excellent filtration.

OEM+ FIT & FINISH

034Motorsport carefully selected the textured finish of the intake tube and upper airbox heat shield to complement the factory plastic trim and engine covers. The 034Motorsport MQB Audi/Volkswagen 1.8T/2.0T Cold Air Intake System was designed to fit like a factory part, and mates directly to the turbo inlet pipe and factory lower airbox to provide an OEM+ look.

DYNO-VERIFIED WHEEL HORSEPOWER & TORQUE GAINS

034Motorsport's engineering and development efforts were validated using our Mustang AWD Dynamometer to ensure that the P34 Cold Air Intake System provided substantial, repeatable increases in horsepower and torque. 

Peak Wheel Horsepower & Torque on Stage 1 2015 Volkswagen GTI:

  • Stock Intake: 223 Wheel Horsepower / 285 Wheel Foot-Pounds of Torque
  • P34 Intake: 240 Wheel Horsepower / 297 Wheel Foot-Pounds of Torque
  • Peak Horsepower Gain: 10 WHP @ 6,100 RPM
  • Peak Torque Gain: 12 WTQ @ 3,100 RPM

Do we ship abroad?
Yes, we do! Gwent VW can ship to most destinations worldwide. Please note that international postage costs can vary, especially for large or bulky items. We typically use trusted couriers such as DHL or UPS for overseas deliveries. This ensures your order can be fully tracked and usually reaches most European destinations within 72 hours, provided the items are in stock. However, there are a few countries we do not currently ship to, including Israel, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Russia,Nigeria, Macedonia, Syria, Ukraine, and Lebanon.

Why can bulky item shipping be expensive to some countries?
For reliability and safety, we only use reputable courier services so we can track every shipment and ensure it arrives securely. While small items are relatively inexpensive to post, larger items such as body kits or wheels have higher shipping costs due to size and packaging requirements. We aim to keep postage charges as fair as possible, only covering packaging and shipping costs. Please note that import duties, customs fees, and taxes may apply when receiving goods outside the UK. These charges are determined by local authorities and are not covered by Gwent VW.

Customs & Duty Charges
For customers outside the UK: Once you enter your shipping address at checkout, prices will automatically have the 20% UK VAT removed. However, your local customs office may apply import duties or VAT before delivery. Returns Procedure
Before returning any goods, please read the information below carefully. You must inform Gwent VW of any items you wish to return within 14 calendar days of delivery by phone or email. Once approved, you will be issued a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN) which must be included with your return. Returns Address: Gwent VW, 20 Leeway Industrial Estate, Newport, NP19 4SL, United Kingdom. Please include: A copy of your original invoice and your Returns Authorisation Number.Items returned without an RAN will not be accepted or refunded.

Important Notes
• Items that have been used, fitted, or installed cannot be returned for a refund or credit.
• Gwent VW will not pay VAT or import duties on any returns. If these are requested, the return will be rejected or abandoned.
• Returns Authorisation Numbers are valid for 1 month. If goods are not returned within this time, a new request will be required.

If your order was supplied correctly
• Within 14 days: Goods can be returned for any reason for a full refund (excluding return postage).
• After 14 days: Returns are subject to a 20% handling fee. Original and return postage charges will not be refunded.
• After 28 days: Returns will not be accepted.

If your order was supplied incorrectly
• Within 28 days: Goods can be returned for a full refund, including original and return shipping costs.
• Items must be in as-new, resaleable condition (not fitted, marked, or damaged).
• If items are not in resaleable condition, whether supplied correctly or not, they will not be eligible for refund.

Drop Shipping
In some cases, we may arrange for your order to be shipped directly from one of our UK suppliers. If this happens, it will be managed internally ̶ you ll still only pay the agreed price and receive full tracking information.

Delivery Signatures
All courier deliveries require a signature upon receipt. Please ensure someone is available to sign for your package at the delivery address.
